Tasting - Redwood Creek Pinot Noir

Name: Redwood Creek
Variety: Pinot Noir

Region: California
Country: USA
Year: NV
Price: $4.89

Winery Review: We make our Redwood Creek Pinot Noir in a classic New World style, with up-front fruit and soft tannins. This medium-bodied wine has rich notes of dark cherry, brown spice and clove, making it a versatile partner to salmon, duck or filet mignon.

My Review: The nose is extremely sweet smelling and is like a carton of raspberries in some whipped cream. It is fresh smelling like a bouquet of freshly picked daisies. This wine is light bodied but dry and acidic at first. I tasted a lot of spice, particularly some clove and even nutmeg that have been mixed in with the cherry and dried strawberry taste.

I did not taste this wine with food.
