Tasting - Marc Roman Malbec

Name: Marc Roman Malbec
Variety: Malbec
Region: Vin de Pays d'Oc
Country: France
Year: 2011
Price: $10.95

Winery Review: A heat loving varietal, Malbec thrives in the warm sunshine of Southern France where consistent weather and patience allows tannins to ripen fully. Its this warm climate that allows Marc Roman to make a rich and velvety malbec, packed with black spice notes and dark berry fruit. You will love this wine!

My Review: The wine was a slight brownish, deep red color when it was poured. It had a sweet nose like freshly picked, dark cherries. It was a very smooth wine, and not very heavy. It tasted a lot like cherries and dark berries, maybe even a sugarless blackberry jam.

I did not taste this wine with food.
