Tasting - Coto de Hayas Garnacha Syrah

Name: Coto de Hayas
Variety: Garnacha Syrah
Region: Campo de Borja
Country: Spain
Year: 2012
Price: $8.95

Winery Review: Ruby red color. Pronounced red fruit and spice aromas. Medium bodied, dry and easy going. Fresh, fruity and lightly peppery with mild acidity and soft tannins.

My Review: This wine had a very pretty magenta color when it was poured into the glass. It had a smokey and earthy nose with floral accents. It was mildly dry but had a very soft finish. It reminded me of a berry jam and was slightly acidic.

I did not taste this wine with food.
