Winery Review: This medium-bodied Pinot Noir opens with vibrant aromas of cherry, red raspberry and toasted almonds. Fresh flavors of cranberry and sweet plum are intertwined with subtle hints of nutmeg and rose petal.
My Review: The nose reminded me of Christmas and had some clove and spice resemblance. I tasted some cherry and cinnamon. It was a little spicy and it was slightly dry but was very smooth. There was a slight acid taste with medium body. I also got a little mint leaf on the palate.
I tasted this wine with Seriously Sharp Vermont cheddar cheese and it was very good. The sharpness of the cheddar cheese made the acidic/ alcoholic aftertaste go away quickly.
